Planning a Bollywood theme party? We’re not surprised, as theme parties have become really popular these days, and what better theme than our very own bollywood? With umpteen options to choose from, we can each go as our favourite actors or characters. You can still count on us though, to provide you with ideas of characters that will get recognized at the first look!

The scintillating orange saree speaks for itself. Add a beehive hairstyle and winged eyeliner, and you’re all set!

Have it? Then flaunt it! Theme parties are such wonderful excuses to wear over-the-top, sexy dresses that you won’t think of wearing ever! One shouldn’t miss this chance, we feel, and dress up in this beautiful pink and black frill dress. Now that you’ve taken that bold step, why not go all the way and complete the look with a feather on top!

Leena Chandavarkar(Dhal gaya din..)

This one is quite simple. A plain bright pink suit, with a retro hairstyle and a dupatta tied on the hair. Carry a badminton raquet, just to be be sure nobody misses out on identifying the look!

Dimple Kapadia from Bobby

Turn up the heat a notch and dare to don this simple but sexy look from Bobby. Just rent a polka dot shirt, tie it at the waist and wear a skirt underneath.

Salim from Mughal-E-Azam

Be the utter romantic that Salim was, with this costume! Go back to the Mughal Era, and wear an angrakha with accessories and a headgear. And carry a rose, of course. :)

Anarkali from Mughal-E-Azam

What’s a Salim without an Anarkali? Take out your most beautiful anarkali suit and jewellery to match. All you have to do is wear a cap with the dupatta on the head. And yes, be madly in love with your Salim. ;)

Dr. Dang (Anupam Kher)

Would rather play the bad boy? We have a lot of famous villains for you to take a pick! To be Dr. Dang, just be dapper in a suit, and wear a beard and specs. And you’re all set!

Sanjay Dutt from Vaastav

Since we know boys don’t like to dress up much. All you need for this look is some junk neckpieces and a tikka.

Sri Devi from Hawa Hawai

Ooh la-la! Dare to dress up in this shimmery gold gown? Add the headgear for an authentic hawa-hawai look.

Circuit from Munnabhai MBBS

One of the funniest and the most lovable characters of Indian Cinema. Our very own Circuit! A plain black kurta over jeans, lots of golden chains and rings with sunglasses. That’s about it.

Aamir Khan from Ghajni

We’ll arrange the six-pack abs for you. Take a black sketch pen and start writing!

Amar Akbar Anthony

With the right clothes and accessories(beard, hat) you can become anyone of them. Or better still, go as a trio.

Amitabh Bacchan from Coolie

A red kurta and a gamcha, along with a luggage bag. :)

Bappi Lahiri

Just load on gold chains and accessories, basically everything that you can lay your hands on!

Rent a short lehenga, and wear it with aplomb, and a gajra. ;)

Akshay Kumar from Bhool Bhulaiya

Here, you can rent a similar kurta and gamcha, and a few rudraksh malas and you’re all set!

Chunni Babu

Wear a coat with a white kurta, and carry a bottle. Simple.

Master Gogo(Shakti Kapoor)

Wear a black pant and shirt and rent a black cape. And don’t forget the signature moustache!

His signature style is unmistakeable. All white it is!

Deepika Padukone (Om Shanti Om)

That bright pink lehenga with a bun. After all, what’s a bollywood theme party without some glamour?

You need the signature wig and the glasses for this one. Maybe add a pillow under your shirt?

Amitabh Bacchan (Sarkaar)

Big B in a powerful role! And the simplest of all..

Amitabh Bachhan(Paan banaras wala..)

This would be fun! Wear a jacket along with bell bottoms and tie a gamcha around your head. And you get to eat paans all along!

Shahrukh Khan (Devdaas)
